Migrating Triumph-LS to Linux OS

Thanks for all the help. Tried my wifi connection at home and I have the Linux os installed and ready to try in the field. Am I correct in thinking I should update the T2 software before I take the LS out?

I have been putting off updating for a long time, but now with this GPS calendar thing I finally did it.
Took several tries as I did not read up on the problems with WiFi, failed the download twice. Third time connected to office network and it went through and completed migration.
Restored data and settings, but can't seem to connect to radio.

I tried to perform the migration today 5 times. Every time it was not sucessfull. At about 40% of download it displayed "System error" or similar message. After the last trial I found the following on the connected USB memory. This was a 16 GB SD card in USB reader/writer formatted to FAT32. I pressed"Home" → "System" → "Migrate to Linux OS" to migrate. Is there other method to perform the migration?

Hi Eugene,
Is there any timeline yet on OS Linux for Victor_LS? Will there be one?
Apologies if I've missed an update someplace.
Regards.

Hi Le, it is in very low priority, really. It may increase the priority in case of number of customers is reasonable. So far very few requests.

Ok thks ... we have recurring BT dropouts between Victor_LS and Triumph 2 (Rover) ... and then this means a return to base to set the machine up afresh... Can you think why this might be happening? (It's been an issue for us for a long time). Apart from this, the machine is very accurate and good in tough field conditions.

Would some of you users please post your list of thumb drives that work good with Linux LS?
I have a SanDisk that works good.

What is your work flow, Le? Why you need to return to base is base operational and transmitting corrections? BT may drop because of CPU overload or unknown bugs in BT stack on both WinCE and Triumph-2 sides. Probably check Triumph-2 firmware updates.
