Interested is seeing some pictures of how you all are mounting your base and/or radio to your vehicles. Maybe this has been covered before?

I know you have already seen it but here is my set up. I moved the T2 Pole to the back as of late. Yours will be way easier, I am curious what you come up with. Send pic's when you get it done.

Yeah I like your setup. I'm thinking with the internal radio on the 1M I may try to mount to my roof rack. I've also considered mounting an old prism rod to a hitch so I could quickly put it in the receiver. Got a few ideas but would like to see some others , particularly how I could lock it down. I liked the cable you've fastened to the T2, that's slick!

I haven't done this yet but if you use a truck, mounting them on a headache rack would be an option (if you didn't use a cap).

IF you installed your radio, and antenna, on the truck, and if you put a quick connect on your base GPS, then any job, with existing geodetic control on it, you could pull up, flip a switch on the dash, (turns radio on) put base GPS up, take LS. And hit existing control, and be running pretty fast.
If your control was not too far off, you could use an atv to tie existing spc control.
It's interesting. Many options open up here.
Maybe install radio in work wagon, with quick connects... So it can be moved quickly..m hmmm.

I have read and see pictures where people were doing that Nate, only in a cargo trailer. Park, and unhook, pull out the ATV, pop up the antenna and GPS antenna, and off you go to localize. They seemed to like it in iffy areas with theft problems.

Around me, I don't really have any of those issues, and I can't see being without the truck, so I toss up the base, and head off to work. I have left 8 static setups up for over 12 hours and not really worried about it - but I realize that isn't for everyone.
