Heads-up for the Items in the next “Pre-Release” of the J-Field, scheduled for Tuesday, April 18.

1: “Conventional” and “Independent” Tracking:
L1 signals usually are stronger than other signals. In “Conventional” tracking information from the L1 signal helps to track other signals. But in some areas of the world L1 signal is the one that are jammed or spoofed.
If you work in “clean” neighborhood, use “Conventional” Tracking. If you see that L1 signal is jammed or spoofed, then use “Independent” tracking.
You can switch between the two by clicking the button in the Engines screen.

2: “Percentage of Rejected Signals”:
Let’s assume that you have over 100 GNSS signals, but all are reflected off buildings and trees and none of them can provide a correct RTK solution. But off these 100 signals, some of them, let’s say 5 of them, are wrong by the exact same amount such that they can provide a consistent mathematical solution but a wrong location. 95 rejected and 5 used.
In “Verify” screen we have added a new parameter that resets the engines if the percentage of the rejected signals are more than what you specify (10% is the default).

Not new: When “Smart Reset” is selected, the engines reset if there is no progress in ambiguity search.
Not new: With “Reset at Float”, engine resets if after the selected number of epochs, it is not fixed.

3:Configurable Hardware buttons: Similar to the “White Boxes” in the Action screen, you can configure 12 of the TRIUMPH-LS top and bottom row hardware buttons (except On/Off, PrtScn, Start, Stop, A/V, Lock, Warning, and Screen).

Not new: Also note that in the "Engines" screen, there is a "Chart >" button. You can click to see the summary graph of all engines. Click on any of them to see its horizontal and vertical chart details. The vertical chart marks when the engine was reset (red is for phase 2 and green is for the "validate" stage). You see elapsed time on each stage.

One more item: In Action Setup/Options, there is a new check box for "Stop if Reference Station changed". Change of a reference station is not a significant event. It is like changing satellites. But if you want to know if reference station changes and want to decide what to do, then check this box. If r

Thank you for these continuing improvements and added features. Will all of this continue to work with the LS/T2 combination or only with the new T3? Are you going to continue to support the T2 into the near future?

We will continue to support T2, but T2 does not provide all GNSS signals that LS can benefit from. T2 is an entry-level product.
