Old Triumph 2 version board WiFi broke by update?

I certainly hope I am wrong but I believe the not to recent updates that added the "who moved my base" security feature had the effect of breaking the WiFi / TCP port forward capabilities with the old version T2 board.

I had used this feature a lot from 2014 through 2017, then the update... and there were some obvious known bugs that were worked out. I kinda overlooked this one since I had no pressing need and had moved getting a new router & provider etc. and thinking my loss of functioning the few times had to do with this, only half trying...

Anyhow in my prior uses I set this thing up in 5 of 6 localities with as many different routers so worked through the set-up a few times successfully....

I just put in a determined effort to get this thing running and even tried on the jet pack to port forward getting the same dead results so since that particular upgrade jacked other features on the old board I suspect it did this as well...

I am noticing one consistent anomaly in that the Triumph 2 (after configuring WiFi in Net modem) shows WiFi connection according to the LED on the unit but when I check the router list of clients its not present. This is the same whether on the land line router or the Jet Pack. I check other items (like the Triumph LS) on and off and they show up.

I have noticed for the last year that the WiFi LED shows a connection but have not found it in the router client list...?

Anyone with any thoughts? Thanks.

Not sure this is pertinent, but I have an old (circa 2014) T2 that I use with a Verizon Jetpack. I believe it has the most current firmware rev. I've forgotten if I had any trouble transitioning, but I do know that it's working fine.

Thanks Jim. This may help since if its only my unit then maybe I still have an obscure setting jacked somewhere...?

The firmware features needed for “Who Moved by Base” are not implemented in the versions of the older T2 boards. Port forwarding should still work.

Thanks Matt. As I indicated I probably wrong in my suspicion. Too many moving parts in my settings and I am unsure which one is the culprit. I had this thing functioning and working for so long and reset it up multiple times ...it's eassy to pick on something. I also have suspicions about the router since it would be another variable. I used Suddenlink as a provider before (my old neighborhood less than a mile away) and all the IP stuf was the same but the router was a different one and setting the port triggers is a different interface etc. Also I have read some bad reviews on this router. So....

Now update...I did get the T2 to show up in the client list again last night. I can not tell what is effecting things though since it is not consistant and will arbitrarily dissappear from the list. One setting that apparently helped was putting it's fixed IP address of the T2 in the firewall DMZ but this still is off and on.
And this is more evidence to me that it may be a problem with the router. But when it shows up and I have the settings set for port forward I am still not picking the corrections up on the rover....or even showing a connection. So the data is not getting out.

???

Flashback! So remember when my worse technical measuring problem was if my thermometer was accurate for my tap correction calculation....? Or if I dropped it on the pavement and broke it so had to hold my finger up and guess....no smart phone.
