Optimal GPS

I am not having any success with the new constellations, it seams to work much better with the old settings. Any suggestions?

if I change settings to the original it fires right up, when in the new “optimal GPS” my LS seems confused.

Tap the hrms button in the upper left beside back. Then tap auto setup engines when in canopy. You can also try the other firmware packages. Its very likely that one may work a little better than the others for that location and moment in time.

I am seeing similar results, although I have not come to any conclusions yet. Would it help to push "Auto setup" before each shot, as conditions are different at each location? In my tests, the new firmware results in many more jumps back to phase 1 after starting verification.

I recommend tapping Auto Setup when you look at the engine screen and see red x's on the screen

I prefer the 2 engine option as well.

You may need to adjust your min rtk engine in your action profile when you use the 2 eng option.

Am I correct to presume that you are using the new V6 option? I highly recommend the 2 engine option, as I have not seen it getting the bad fixes that need filtered out.
Using a LS/T2 with MSM4 at 800 feet (under leaf off canopy) , I had trouble getting the two engines two fix at all (although I admit I didnt give it to much of a chance.). It seems a little counter intuitive to use 2 engines, when the strength of the LS seems to be the 6 RTKs generating different solutions.

The T2 data sheet says it does Gal, the MSM4 message transmits it, and the LS seems to be using it in the solutions. Bdu has never shown up on either my my LS or T2. The T2 does not do L5. Regardless, the it seems new firmware should ignore the Gal/Bdu and revert to a GPS/GLN solution if the signals are disabled. The new firmware seems to give a faster fix rate.

Thank you, I understand. The Gal 2nd freq is in the L5 band, so whatever T2 based solution the LS is working on is only a single freq. solution.
