We've supported pinch zoom for a while now, but I seldom used it because it wasn't very smooth. The latest version of J-Field (30.1.417) is incredibly smooth, it also allows the user to rotate the view by twisting the two fingers touching the screen. To return to orthogonal, click on the North arrow.
At one time, this feature required "Enable Multitouch" to be turned on in System. I notice that I do not have this checked and the two finger zoom/rotate works. Give it a try!
