Project support and log support

I just sent two files to support. I have two issues:
1. My units (LS+ and T3) quit when the temperature get too hot.
2. my LS+ unit experienced a screen lock.

I posted a thread in the public forum, and you can read about it more there.
I just want to see if there is another issue other than the units probably exceeding internal operating temperature.

thank you,
Harold Dendy

Do you have the latest J-Field 4 software? I notice mine getting abnormally hot and having screen response issues too.

Harold, I had a simalar screen lock up a few months agos with apparently nothing to do with temperature. One point in a functionion session, everything locked up, including the hard buttons. Nothing would restore the issue (by holding on/off button to shut and restart). John Evers said to hold down the Home hard button when starting up, bringinging up the "Recover from Restore Point". Select the most recent and restore the last Restore point. The last (older) version of software opened up (all buttons then workded) allowing going to Software updates to again reload the most current versions. This worked. For whatever reason the latest software froze up completely and did not give the option of any way to reload the software except for the back door route described above. I would recomend giving John Evers a call to get it right the first try.

a reply on a similar post. I did know about a "long press," but not about a 20-second press.
"Dear Harold, It is not required to disassemble the unit to turn it off, actually. Moreover it is a bad idea to disconnect batteries completely as it leads to lose collected battery statistics that used by charger for better management and time of discharge forecast. The power button should react on the long 20sec hold and it doesn't related to any software control. Sometimes it is difficult to hold it that long preventing bounce effect, but it should turn unit off unconditionally.
Regards,
Eugene."
