Radio emissions code for FCC license

Hi,
I am in the process of purchasing, among other things, the HPT435BT radio for my Triumph-2 Base. This will be used in conjunction with the Triumph-LS.
The FCC licensing agent is asking me for the emissions code. Apparently the info is not on the data sheet and perhaps someone here knows what this needs to be for licensing purposes.
Thanks much,
Dave.

This is something I put together, not sure how accurate. But, step 3 under how to apply might get you the emissions code.

You probably need to speak with Michael Glutting. I went through EWA in June and have had trouble. Still no license. Michael is working on it.

Thanks guys.

I actually received some data back from Michael Glutting yesterday and am going to post it here when I get a chance, hopefully today.

Duane, your treatise is impressive and I am in the process of reading it. BTW I am in NYS in NW Steuben Co.

Dave.

Here is what Michael Glutting sent me in case it proves helpful to anyone in the future. I have an LS and a T-2 with the HPT435BT 35w radio but we were shooting for perhaps a more global coverage of the product line--not sure how that all worked out.

From Michael:

"Here are the emission designators to use for your HPT435BT.

Please advise the organization that is completing the application that you wish to include 25 kHz operation with your license application.

25 kHz License

On the Application Information page of the ULS site, check “Yes” for the question “Are attachments being filed with this application?”

Please attach the Operation_Complies_Narrowband_Equivalent_Efficiency_Standards.pdf document (attached in this email) to the application.

Regards,

Michael Glutting"

I don't think I did this when I had my license modified. What am I giving up by not being able to run at 25kHz legally?

Yes, wondering about that too. I'm assuming it would just give more options for available frequencies to use in order to find one not being overused in areas such as large metro.

Nice area of the State. I'm in northeastern Oneida county. If you're going to turning stone for continuing ed. this year maybe we can meet up for a coffee.
