Right and Left for Xsections

Is there an easy routine in the LS that can be utilized to collect X sections, such as you have the centerline point, and the ls will line you up 90 degrees to the alignment? I can turn the 90 degrees in the field fairly easy, just wondering if this has been implemented so the LS will perform that function.
