RTPK & Post Process Rover Files position discrepancy

I set up on a known base position that had been established prior with a DPOS session. Broadcasting corrections via TCP I had times where communication was out due to hilly terrain. I collected 2-4 RTPK shots with 2 minutes minimum time each shot. The goal was to post process the rover files later. This is my first attempt so I was looking forward to the results. I downloaded base file this morning to rover and in POINTS menu under additional actions I selected POST-PROCESS Rover Files. I logically thought this was post processing relative to my known base point position. All looked well and all my multiple RTPK shots agreed with themselves. But for a check, I had purposefully shot point 1001RTPK with communications turned off. I had previously shot 1001.1 through 1001.7 while communications were up and RTK & RTPK agreed for all 7 shots. Point 1001RTPK position derived after I selected post process rover files did not agree with the correct values.

See the rtpk values below:

See below the rover grid values in BaseRover Statics...these are correct values. What is the 3.43 shift about?

I decided to then DPOS the project to get PPK values and 1001RTPK agreed with 1001 (1001.1 through 1001.7) averaged. What is post processing rover files doing and what is its purpose? I’m confused on what I did wrong. I’m wondering if its post processing the rover files with an autonomous base position or NAD83 to WGS84 shift applied incorrectly???

See PPK (DPOS Values) below which are correct or in close agreement with the rover grid values above.

Any help would be appreciated. The post process routine has me scared to use it.

You guys rock...thank you for looking at this so quickly. So I would assume we should just use DPOS for now. Again thank you for confirming my suspicions.
