RTPK Real Time Processed Kinematic

To answer your question, which is right, is a bit like Schrodinger's cat, without additional information, they are both right and both wrong. An additional shot would help answer that.

It's strange to me that RTPK is GPS and Glonass only, while RTK also has Galileo in the solution.

Yes, I had not noticed all those groups. I think this was running on single base (nearest).
I don't know for sure, but presume that the base used would have been about 15 miles.

I think there's a CORS in your area that new coordinates are like .5' different, wondering if you happen to be using that one. MYCS2 is now being used. I haven't noticed an option to choose that on the LS yet.
Only time i've seen groups like that in relatively open is near towers broadcasting for emergency services in the north country.
Looks also like you don't require a certain consistency to be met in that profile? Usually I required 10 in the boundary profile, your solution only had 2.3. Had a couple others that looks like passed your settings but couldn't go through verification. Must have had some strong interference by something.
What Shawn said above, in a case like this I would accept a few 4-5 minute shots along with their rtpk. Do 2 more 20-25 feet away and measure with tape to see if you get something reliable. I'm told rtpk is actually more reliable 5 minutes or less.

I will have to confer with the crew chief when he comes back in with the LS. I am not sure if he did this all as one session with stops and restarts.
There should not be any interference, remote, elevated area. Can see towers in 4 directions.
Here is the first and second screen shots

. Looks like things got worse as it progressed. Will try getting multiple shorter sessions.

15 miles is a long vector if there is canopy. Relatively open is also relatively obstructed.

I would encourage you to do what you need to do to get your base running again. Local base is almost always going to be better than distant base.

Lost me a little bit but yeah it looks like the last you are getting competing solutions that seem to be good and I've only seen that when exposed to Tower interference but could be something else entirely

I'm running Pre-Release 3.0.8.429 and my background maps are working again, too, except for the one I sent to support in post #85 above. Is the file size too large? It used to work well. It's 153 MB. I have another one that is 129.9 MB and it works.
We have checked the background map (153 MB) on Release 3.0.8.428.
The background map doesn't have high level tiles, so to see it on the map the zoom should be 5 km or less.

I "updated" from Prerelease 3.0.8.416 to Release 3.0.8.428. I still can't see that background map. I tried a new job and reloading the Wray.sqlite file into the background maps folder. No joy.

Bill, where did you find it?
Thanks
Jack, Don't know if you got an answer but here is what I found.
Go to Support button, select Software updates.
At the top left of screen is a "settings" button, looks like a gear.
Select that and at the next screen at the top will be tabs for Release and to the right "Prerelease".
Select prerelease and then you will be able to download that version which contains the RTPK option.

I plan on doing a voice over the video but it will have to wait until early this coming week. I did want to go ahead and post it though since there is a limited time that this feature is available for trial.

using the auto setup engines and reset engines sometime helps refresh the engines and will allow them to “figure out” the right solution.

Hitting the 0/0/0 button will allow me to keep track of which engine gets a fix when. The theory behind this is that if two engines get a fix and they agree is it more than likely the correct fix. So I keep an eye on that.

Matt, can you describe the 0|0|0 in a bit more detail. How can users utilize this for verification? I should know what this button means, but I don't :)

When you hit the 0/0/0 button it resets the top number under each engine which will show when that particular engine gets fixed.

So hitting 0/0/0 resets that number giving me the opportunity to keep an eye on which engine fixes when. I am looking for different engines that fix that agree with each other. Until we have an easier way to see which engine gets fixed when this is the only way I have found to keep track of it.

So, what is the source of the numbers that accumulate in between those slash marks? Are they of any importance?

So, we're still waiting on 1) accept RTPK/accept RTK after collecting 2) better difference between RTK/RTPK beyond the graphical comparison 3) RTPK getting overwritten when points are DPOS'd

Any idea when/if we'll be seeing these updates?

Is there any way to 'UN-DPOS' if I overwrote shots that were 'fixed rtpk' and are now 'float ppk'? I haven't had this problem much, but it happened yesterday where everything was fixed rtk/rtpk and had multiple shots to confirm. Today after post-processing, I've got 3 solutions that are floating, that the rtk doesn't agree with either rtk/ppk for the check shots.

In the future I can export the points and save those before I process, but that's just ONE MORE THING, to add to the list of stuff that goes into the workflow. It's getting to the point where I have to give an hour long lecture just to collect a point properly if I want to show someone else how to use thor's mighty hammer.

To minimize cellular traffic and for convenience it is better to create and download background map in the office:
- be sure you have inserted SD card to the Triumph-LS.
- go to background maps list (Projects screen -> Edit current project -> Background Map).
- add a new map using "+" button.
- edit the map using edit button.
- on the edit screen select Mapbox Style.
- push "Download offline map".
- using zoom buttons select required area (the entire scene shown on the map screen).
- press "Download" button and wait while downloading will finished.

It will download all required tiles for the area.

I tried to do this and I get the message "Map downloading is disabled by user". How do I enable map downloading?
