Scale factor, CSF, Convergence Angle

When we export a report, we get a lot of great data in the PDF, export. 3 items that would be excellent to include in the report for each point would be the SC, CSF and Convergence Angle. I currently do not see those as being listed and do not see where those can be selected to be included.

Would it be possible to include those items in the PDF point report. Otherwise I have to use Carlson or some other program to create a report that has those items in them. I much prefer to use the report that the LS creates.

Thx

The LS does provide this nicely. Just have to know where. I use this all the time from "Points" button on main, with a point highlighted use the pencil icon for edit, then in lower left of screen, "additional information", then the "scale factors" button, ...it's all there and you can export a report to the thumb drive.

This seems appropriate to me since geodetically this information changes from position to position and would not be project wide , I guess....

Another thing that is nice is you can double check this by an geodetic vs. grid/ground inverse between points fairly quick....

The export pdf report, gives lots of information, but it doesn't give that data in tabular format. Some clients need to know those scale factors, and in generating the report, it doesn't include the data. You are 100% correct, the LS has it, I just need the report to populate that data in part of the information it creates when it creates the report in PDF format.

Currently I have to hand enter that data to the report, and I worry about transposing numbers.

This is why, I am wondering if this is something that can be incorporated into the report.

Scale Factors are an available export field in Text/CSV format:

Implemented in development version. It will be in prerelease soon.
VSAPP-4374: PDF Report: adding scale factors, convergence and magnetic declination.

One quick question, will the convergence angle, be in DMS, if we have DMS set in our units. Or is that something that will be decimal degrees like in the example. Just wondering, since we deal mostly in DMS.

Some software (Ashtech Solutions to be exact) used degrees, minutes, and decimals of minutes. That's a bastard mix (for a surveyor!). I'd prefer it dms and decimals of seconds.
Thank you.

Hi James,
We decided in report to use ratio for scales and DMS always independent from project settings. Also the direction of scale factors are from grid to ground as OPUS/DPOS do. We hope it will avoid misunerstanding.

Can you add total time base was setup for each day. I see new ones total time in seconds but when I setup on a previous point for the next day work. It displays that previous point total time and not the new setup total time. I use this information for billing.
