I use Carlson Survey 2015 OEM. Itbhas inbeded 2013 Autcad. I can save it to 2010 formate and I still am unable to import. Mathew Sibole was able to import my dwg but I cannot.

Carlson's embedded CAD program is IntelliCAD, not AutoCAD. I suspect the problem is some type of compatibility issue from IntelliCAD. If you use some AutoCAD product like Autodesk DWG Trueview you should be able to convert the file and import it.

That is all inaccurate. Carlson makes an AutoCAD OEM version. Also I use intellicad routinely and have never experienced a compatibility issue with J-Field.

Look at your layer names. Spaces and other special characters can cause issues. Try to only use alpha numeric characters and underscores.

Yes, they have a version that will run on AutoCAD. I use Carson Civil running on AutoCAD. What they call their "built-in" or "embedded" CAD option is Intellicad. At least this is how they advertise it now:

It may just be semantics that we are disagreeing about.

So just to beat the dead horse. I don't understand why I can't import a dwg anymore and the only thing I changed was I updated the LS.

I personally called Carlson and they told me it was embeded auto cad not intellicad.

I see now they do have Survey OEM that uses the Autodesk 2013 OEM graphics engine. Sorry for the confusion. Knowing exactly what program and version is creating the problematic files is important for reproducing and resolving this issue.

Teigha libraries are used to import the dwg/dxf. For some unknown reason there seems to be some problem with the current Linux version of it and your dwg files.
