screen

I am having problems with my screen going black in the middle of jobs, I can touch a command and it will go black and it seems to be random. I have to hold down on the off button until it turns off then restart it. As everyone knows this is time consuming. This happened after my last update, also I never was able to send for the new screen. I did check the option of going back to before the update. what should I do? If I should go back to before the update is there directions somewhere.
Thanks

Are you using the camera? In the Windows version the camera causes crashes from time to time exactly as you describe. Linux does not suffer from the camera issue.

I been having the same problem at once a day, not using camera. I am updated to the latest version of Jfield on Linux. Don't know if a screen saver is being used, never set one up, but screen does black after a period of inactivity, usually comes back after touching screen or one of the buttons.

That's the screen saver. You can change the behavior by selecting the speaker icon next to the battery icon on the home screen. This is not what Dale is describing because his issue requires a reboot.

Sorry, to be confusing, at at least once a day the LS has locked up and it have to be rebooted by holding the on/off key down until the battery lights go off. Then it can be restarted and will work fine for a while.

Thanks for your help,
I don't have the camera on but I had put it on the white box option in the off position. When I touched it instead of coming on it blackened my screen, after reboot I pressed it again and it came on. I took it off the white box and will see if that stops my problem.
thanks

I notice that when I turn on the TLS the screen turns off a split second after it turns on. Is this normal? Touching the screen always brings it back on after startup.
Also, my screen turned off an locked up requiring a reboot , a few weeks back, but it hasn't since.

I am stiling having almost daily lockup problems requiring reboot. I must of held the on/off button down to long a couple of times as I had to reset my settings and return to the base and restart, very frustrating.

There is no need to return to the base. Restarting the rover does not cause the base to stop transmitting. Are you an internal GSM connection? There is currently an issue where this can cause the unit to lock up.

I have an occasional blank screen lock up. Maybe once a month. I hold the ON button, shut it down, and restart. Seems to work good for the rest of the day.
