Select Stake point from map

I often use stake points from map and choose endpoints of lines or polyline vertices. That doesn't work as well as it used to starting a couple versions ago when the ability to select midpoint, intersections, etc. was added. It usually works if I zoom in far enough, but it used to pop up a box asking which point to stake if there are several nearby. Now it just acts like there are no points near the selected point. It would also be nice to be able to stake intersections, midpoints, etc. by choosing them from the map and pressing Select.

"Advanced Snapping" was implemented that adds the ability to snap to midpoints, perpendicular points and intersections. There is currently a bug with it that causes it to sometimes snap to the intersection at the vertex of lines instead of the point node there. You can disable Advanced Snapping if you want in Collect > View > Graphical Parameters.

Could we get a button on the inverse screen that creates a mid point, between inverse points?
