setting date and time

time sets automatically from satellites. Only the offset to local can be changed.
Shaun, in New Zealand our local time offset is sometimes +13 hours due to NZ daylight saving time, but there is no facility to go to 13 hours on the LS, only a max of 12. At least that is the case with our windows software on the LS, we haven't gone to LINUX. Therefore our recorded times are always an hour out. Wondering if there is a solution?

Hey there,
the Triumph LS (on Linux) I am using is completely off in date, while the time is actually correct. It sets me in the moment to August 25, 1999? I did not find any setting in menus for this, so how can i change this? If its important, I use the LS in combination with a Triumph-2 via radio link.

Thanks for an answer!

Thanks for your lightening fast answer Shawn! As I am a first time user I will delay this update until I am back home in the beginning of next month.
As long as I only use the system in RTK mode there is no major problem, if I understand correctly? Only that I cannot DPOS the data and my records will have a wrong timestamp, or?

With unreliable internet connection here and too little experience with the inner workings of J-Field I do not feel ready to update the firmware on a running mission.

Best,
Felix

Just a heads up.
If you can get a thumb drive, and back up your jobs...
And, if you have access to WiFi, or LAN wire, (non password), you can upgrade.
I once had problems.
Went to mom and pops restraunt. They had internet. Upgraded.
So, you may be able to do this "abroad", if you are so inclined.

Thanks for the heads up Nate, but a download of more than 10MB without interruption and re-connect is really difficult to manage here.
As the wrong timestamp does not really affect the results of my work I better choose not to change the running system.

Best,
F

Nate, I am working for a archaeological mission in Iraqi Kurdistan right now. It my first season with the new equipment (used to work with a Swiss GS10), so still a lot to learn... But a very nice device, especially the runtime of the LS is a big help out here!
