SHIFT lost on some points

Hi all,

I was working on a site where I used the SHIFT function on a T2 base position using RTK. Worked fine till near the end of the day. I didn't notice at the time that the SHIFT was no longer on. Ended up collecting about 20 points that were still on the Autonomous position. So how do I get that same SHIFT applied to those 20 points? The adjustment was -0.240 N, -0.404 E, -6.634 Z. Localize those points? I don't want the base position changed or the linked shots that held the SHIFT.

Thanks!
Bruce

M-Local might work. Localize is out. I would not use it for this application.

If you reboot the LS then the Shift turns off, you can turn it back on as the values should still be there.

You should ALWAYS be able to tell that shift is active because the orange "Shift Details" box is present on the collect screen. If that box is not present, you are not getting the shift.

The concern I have for M-Local is that I'm not sure how it will treat your session. I would recommend archiving the project, so that if it breaks when you try M-Local, you can simply delete the project and unpack the archive.

I think M-Local should work but if it does break you could export the points and import them in as design and then shift them with cogo.

I use SHIFT all the time, not sure why this time it just stopped on me. I just was not paying attention at the end, long day I guess!

I discovered my problem after downloading into CAD, and have actually translated those 20 points there, so my working points for the project are all good in the computer. Just trying to get the LS corrected now.

Okay that seemed to work. My positions in the LS now match my positions in the computer. I chose the points I wanted to adjust using Multi-Select from the Points screen "options" (upper left). Then I chose one of the points to adjust, went into properties ("chart" icon, upper right), hit the Auto button (actually green in the upper left) which changed to red ABS. Chose the 2 layer icon (lower right) and manually entered the final coordinates I wanted. I chose "Manual Selected" and they all adjusted correctly.

Thanks!
