In your screenshot GPS satellites are only tracking CA and GLONASS are only tracking CA and P1. You have a old version of firmware from 2015. I would start by updating to the Stable version of firmware and see if that resolves the problem.

Hi Matt,
ok we'll have a try to upgrade to a newer stable firmware version. However I did the same tests a month a ago and RTK was always fixed. However concerning the amount of seen satellites and the mobile connection - everything should be configured right? When does the system switch from fixed to float to stand alone?

Do you've a firmware archive, this means where we can download the present firmware (if a step back is needed) and the latest software?

Like I said, it is a tracking problem. Clearing the NVRAM will probably resolve it.

But clearing the NVRAM is an option in the software and doesn't mean the firmware upgrade in your eyes? Sorry I am new and not familiar with the system.

Yes, clearing the NVRAM is an option in Netview & Modem under the Actions button. The firmware should still be updated. Note that that NVRAM is cleared during the update process.

Hi, when upgrading the system to the latest stable firmware the present configuration won't be deleted? Just to be on the safe side I stored these two files with NetView and Modem software 3VNU.tcl and 3VNU_modems.tcl. Are these all relevant config files for JAVAD receiver?

When clearing nvram - could it be that any configuration data of the device (e.g. mobile gprs data) will be deleted?

Most of the parameters in the receiver are reset to their default values when the firmware is updated or when the NVRAM is cleared, the exception is the Networking parameters which are not reset. .tcl script files are used to save and load stored parameters.

Hi, I did a clearing of nvram, but nothing changed. Afterwards I did a firmware upgrade to the latest stable version 3.6.15. The system has the same configuration as before the upgrade. Nevertheless, as you can see in the screenshot, RTK is always in floated (phase diff) mode, never fixed. Furtermore before the upgrade also Glonass satellites were used, but no not any longer, although they are checked in the positionin menue. Do you've an idea why the system doesn't switch to RTK fixed and just GPS satellites are shown?
Thx, Robert

The problem is still the same, GPS satellites are only tracking CA. Is the receiver connected to the internet with TCP Server enabled. If so, we can connect to it and find the problem. We could also connect to the PC it is connected to with J-Support.

Hi,

it seems to work now - because i changed the gps-antenna from type Hopf which is only able to use L1 1575,42 MHz to JAVAD GrANT G3T.
This means the old antenna only uses L1 frequency for C/A-code (civil) whereas GrANT also uses L2 and L5 frequencies for P-Y Codes for higher accuracy. This results in the fact that P-Y codes are essential for RTK fixed - am I right?

Matt, thanks for your great support so far ;-).

Hi,
I tried to use javad today again, with the same hard- and software config. nevertheless no glonass satellites are deticated at the moment

In the position configuration menu glonass is selected. Do you've an idea why these satellites aren't used anymore?

Hi - just for info. I did a firmware upgrade to the latest version and configured the system again - now its working including glonass. But I couldn't find out what was wrong with the old config.

Hi together,

How is it possible to switch from GNRMC to GPRMC on Sigma Serial Output? The difference is that GP just uses GPS and GN also other GNSS Systems (GLONASS,...) for correcation data, or?
In our case we see GPS an GLONASS satellites.

Regards,
Robert
