Static/PPK in the woods

Aaron,

In the above rover scenario, all my internal UHF/GSM are off, I use only Wi-Fi client, so theoretically the green antenna tube is not required. However, I want to protect the receiver's UHF/GSM antenna connector from inside the 5/8-11" receiver mounting thread, against screwing a surveying pole (or anything else) without an axial hole in the upper threaded part.

After some PPK/RTK testing situations, (simple pole / pole+green antenna tube), I have chosen up the UHF/cellular antenna mount (additional gain in height for the receiver), useful in certain situations with some tall obstructions;

I only use a small adapter (with hole) for static/RTK tripod data collection.

Best regards,
Sorin.

I'm looking at the picture above of the T1-M used as a rover... do you have to use the green antenna tube under it if you're not broadcasting UHF with it?
Aaron,
I always have the UHF antenna under the T1Ms - and I always use 2m poles for static work. I have a few different receivers, and the reason I always use the UHF is that that extra height always get added to a Javad observation - the others are 2m. That way I don't have to look for height busts - keep it all simple.
