A category for software updates.
This would be for all updates.
It would contain release notes, and a release date, and feedback for that release. It would notify us when they become available, and it would tell us what is contained in that update.
I have gotten approximately 7 updates, since I got mine.
This seems to be an ongoing issue, (And I hope to see it continue).

It would be nice, to come by this forum, and see what is new, and what is going on. And, to refer others to see it.

We have Current Notes and Updates Notes in the Update Software screen. Have you seen these? Current Notes list all the changes made for the installed versions while Updates Notes list the changes for the updates that are available. I agree it would still be good to have them in the forum too.

I have seen it. However, I have to plug it in, and wait a while, and it says "your unit is already updated". Then, I press the button, that says RESET, and THEN, it sometimes says there is an update available.

And then, read it on that little screen. It's just pretty small print. I'd prefer to read it here.

It would (In my opinion) be good for the folks that I refer to this site, to be able to see how progressive this company is.

I realize, you cannot implement ALL ideas that get floated, but, I feel it is GOOD to keep the ideas flowing.

And, I think placing them here is good. John Evers says he has an area that he has good wifi, and downloads updates, while driving... wow. We don't have that here.

I like to read, and think about what it all means. Especially the release notes.

Just now, I plugged it in, and it said "your unit is already updated". So, I pressed RESET. Still said it was up to date. Then, I read the Current Notes. When I was done, I pressed ESC.
NOW it says in red letters that there is an update of JField, and an update of GNSS.
I don't have that figured out. How do you really know if it is updated?

Just now, It is displaying in RED letters, on the right screen, that updates are available. At the top of the screen, it says 2 updates are available. HOWEVER, what is showing (right now) as current, is the SAME as the red letters, to the right.
J-field 1.11.8.400
GNSS 3.6.3.151120
I'm sure it is just a glitch....

But I'm not sure what it means. Is it updated? I pressed PrtScn at the top, so that it will get sent to the developers.

It takes a little to check for updates after connected to the Internet. If you setup a WiFi connection it will automatically connect and check for updates when connected. You will see a red icon on the Support icon indicating an update is available.

If you are seeing that it wants to update to the existing version, this would be because you have checked the options to force updates for those at some point and haven't unchecked them yet in Support>Update>Settings>AppsSettings:

PntScn only saves a screenshot, it doesn't send them to the developers.

To see the available storage, in the Browse Files screen there is a Storage Properties option from the context menu when a drive is selected (this feature may not be in the released version of J-Field yet).

Thanks Matt. I banged around for a while... then read "(this feature may not be in the released version of J-Field yet)"
Ok. I want to become proficient enough with this whole thing... but there is alot there!

Wouldn't it be cool if we had Voice Command Cogo in this thing?

I suspect that this Piece of hardware is going to go far.
