My suggestion to our dealer group was to create a pool of support among themselves and support each other. If you agree with this you also suggest to them to do the same. Our dealer group if they stay together and support each other will be much better than any other support team.
This is just supporting each other, when one is not available.

I'm not trying to be a s. stirrer by posting in this thread, but it's support related. On the LS, on the Support screen, if you click the "Sales Support" button... are the people on this list for "sales" or "support"? It's kind of confusing to use both words. I assume from the previous posts here that I should not call them for tech support unless bought my equipment from them?

I continue to use this website for my primary tech support, and I will call the company I purchased from for voice calls. It's unfortunate if the guys on that list aren't available for everyone to call. I will say that there's a big difference in the quality of service between people who HAVE to help (retail stores) versus people who WANT to help (passionate surveyors who happen to sell gear).

On the screen we have "Sales and Support". Each dealer is supposed to support their customer. Each customer has a dealer who gets compensated for sales and support. Of course we have an army of supporters who respond to Forums and questions. We never elected a retail store as our help. All are Passionate Surveyors. Should we make few bucks on a sales and then let it get sucked out through support?

I guess I'm not understanding what you mean by this. What if the person to whom we wrote the check to buy the equipment IS a retail store? Then shouldn't that retail store be my primary point of contact for tech support? If not them, then who?

Without a doubt the support I get for this green gear is absolutely the best I have gotten from any purchase ever. I've posted about it on other forums. but I can't say enough good things about the gear, the concept, and Matt Sibole in particular. The Javad guys seems to really understand at a developmental level, the intricacies of the equipment. I remember having radio troubles with the most expensive robot on market that I just bought brand new. The answer to my technical problem was, "if I knew the answer to that, I'd be a rich man". These guys know their stuff, and it is great stuff. I like the fact that the "salesmen" are also real surveyors.
