T1M not charging??

edit** I need to retitle this thread. I was having radio troubles later this afternoon. When I went to break down the equipment my power light was green but blinking red every 3 seconds or so. I was running it with the 1W internal antenna.

Gentlemen, I have been using the Triumph 1M+ for a few months now. It seems that regardless of the state of the battery when last used, the next time I set up it is always dead...

I am going to answer my own question in case anyone else is having the same problem. I was told by staff that the T1M+ is not like the LS. It must be charged every night. I thought that was very unusual but OK, I'm all in. It's very common that my total survey time for the day will be in the 1-3 hour range. I may use the next day, next week or next month depending on type of engineering project. It's also surprising that my decade old LS continues to hold an 18-20 hour charge and the latest "smart receiver" must be charged after each use. This is not a complaint, just anobservation. I should have asked if this was an unexpected but didn't. Perhaps someone here knows why? I suppose it doesn't really matter why if there is no solution.

Same experience with mine several times, keep the old T1M in the truck as a backup when the "new" T1M+ is dead after only being used 2 hrs the previous day. The old T1M can be in the truck for a couple weeks not used and then turn on and run fine.

John indicated the battery or charging system (referred to them in general and not specifically) "are not the same as the LS, you need to charge the T1+ before each use".

The Triumph-1/1M GNSS receiver can have a replacement internal battery pack installed.

A replacement battery kit can be purchased from Javad, Part Number 99-530001-01
