T2 is not working!

Since I have updated the Firmware, on the Triumph 2, I have not been able to collected any data. The JAVAD program on my tablet has also been updated recently.

Last Friday, I attempted to collect static data for 3 hours. After I set the parameters, using my tablet, I clicked on the Static button. I received a message that stated the height of the antenna was not set, but I had set the height. This always happens, so, I have to set it again. At this point, normally, I can proceed. This time small dialog box appeared stating something like "Unable to received data from receiver", even though I am connected via Bluetooth. I stopped and restarted the static session, but, I received the same error. I ignored it because the T2 appeared to be collecting data. I collected data for 3 hours. At the end of the day, I downloaded the file which was very small and processed it. It collected data for 2 minutes!

Before returning, yesterday, I downloaded the firmware again. This time I set up as usual and began the session. I did not receive any errors. The dialog box appeared "Starting Survey". I set the T2 to log data every 30 seconds. Everything appeared to be working normally, but, I noticed that there was no epoch count showing on the tablet screen, anywhere. It's been a while since I have collected static data, but, I thought, before the update, there was an area on the tablet screen that counted the epochs. Anyway, I collected data for another 3 hours and returned to the office only to find there was absolutely no file to download.

I don't know if the firmware changed the settings in the T2, but, it's a paperweight right now. Also, I don't know if it is the T2 or the recently update JAVAD program that is creating this problem.

Is there anyway to restore the settings to the previous firmware?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Clear NVRAM on Triumph-2. Also check to see if the Triumph-2 memory is full.

I did both when I updated the firmware. I always delete the data files after I download them. I did notice that I had a firmware of Aug 2017 the second time I updated the firmware. I know it reported Oct 2017 firmware when I first upgraded last week. Odd!

Donald,

I want you do a quick test by doing what Matt said. Use the record button on the end of the receiver to log a file.

This way we can isolate if your tablet is involved in the problem.

I am running it as I type.

Ok, I tried again today, but no luck. I set the parameters and clicked STATIC. Again, it said I needed to set the antenna height even though I set it and clicked APPLY. I set it again and clicked STATIC. Then a dialog box popped up Unable to create receiver file. So I stopped it and set it up again, set the antenna height and clicked STATIC. STARTING SURVEY appeared. The recording light on the T2 was red!

Now I noticed, when pressing the recording button on the T2, it the light is green, so it is probably recording.

I am going to get the T2 and check it now. Stand by!

The T2 record button works, so it must be the JAVAD software. I'll remove it, reinstall it and get back with you.

Ok...Its was the software!
I removed and performed a clean install. Now, the T2 light is green and the software reports epoch counts and the record indicator, on the tablet blinks green (before it was a steady green).

Quick question... In the Netview & Modem program, under Files, why is there and "a" & "b" radio button?

Thanks guys!

You can record two static files at one time. A and B is the reference you see the files referred to prior to creation. A and B can have different recording parameters such as rate, and constellation.
