My wife, Rebecca, and I attended the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors Convention this year. We had a lot of interest in the Triumph-LS and also met a few users as well.

We're still working to get the word out about the Triumph-LS. Even today, after a couple of years on the market, the design is without peer. To my knowledge no other manufacturers have recognized what Triumph-LS users have: that the all-in-one design offers tremendous portability and no sacrifice in performance. They have started offering more channels in their receivers, but I don't know that any of them use those channels the way Javad does. The 864 channels in the Triumph-LS not only to track one signal per channel, but actually use multiple channels for a single signal. (Think of 5 ears listening for a faint whisper in a noisy room instead of just one). Javad also uses 100 of those channels to listen to everything except for that faint whisper to reduce ambient noise. This has made for a system that goes where others won't and do what others can't. The six RTK engines offer several benefits: improved accuracy, more aggressive fixes in tough environments and faster redundancy. On top of all of this the automated verification process demonstrates that the position is good before the surveyor stores the point. Users of other systems still have to manually lose and regain the fix to prove (minimally) that the position is good. These other users are required to store a point, reset the engine (manually), reacquire a new fix, stake out the point and manually see if it agrees. If not, the process must be started (manually) again. This is for one single check. The verification process in the LS does this repeatedly, automatically. Of course we also have post processing built into the Triumph-LS to process the base to the CORS automatically and also to process vectors from the base to the rover. These vectors can be used as a check on RTK or to determine the precise position of points when there is no communication between base and rover. Again, to my knowledge, no one has this.

So we have our work cut out for us to get the message out to surveyors that there is a superior option for RTK - the Triumph-LS. It's also worth pointing out that this superior Triumph-LS SYSTEM can be had for less than a ROVER from our competitors - a rover that I would argue is inferior to the Triumph-LS based on real performance.

I am a salesman for Javad as well as a provider of technical support and training. But I sell for Javad because I absolutely believe in this system as a surveyor, not because I am a salesman. I use this system everyday in places I never would have thought possible to do things I never would have dreamed possible. One of the reasons that I am a successful solo operator is because of the capability the Triumph-LS has to offer.

This was our display of the new J-Tip magnetic locator. As a solo guy I think this is amazing. I only have two hands. When I have the J-Tip on the Triumph-LS monopod, I no longer have to tie up one hand with a bulky locator.

Shawn, I believe that there IS in fact a relationship between technology, and quality. The better out tools, the better our work that we produce will be. I hope more surveyors will take advantage of what Mr Javad has made.
