Text over imagery, wishlist item

Greetings once again!

I do not know if this currently possible, but I would like see a (white) halo or buffer around the black text when the text is overlaid on an image.

I have problems seeing what is being displayed when the background image is dark (pine trees, shadows, etc.)

I do not have a problem turning the imagery off, but it is nice to see when looking for things, or staking a line through the woods/creeks and so on.

Matt,
Thanks for the reply.
I have colored the pages so they are very visible when overlaid.

My problem is with the information at the top of the image window provided by J-Field. Stationing when staking a line is a prime example.

I have taken screen shots, but I can't seem to post them for some reason.

I should have been more clear in what I was requesting.

Some configuration settings for this text could probably be added. In the meantime you can use the Station and Right/Left white boxes to view this information.

The two screenshots depict what I so poorly worded.

If you look at the top screenshot, the "$1005-23037 is very difficult to see, especially in outside in the sun.

Thank you Matt!

I will give your suggestion a try!

We actually have that displayed, but it takes a minute or two to get used to what is being displayed. I only have about a half minute of practice.

Jon,

Being that I am from Ohio, I must comment "that is one messed up looking Section you are surveying:)"

John,

Yes, the west side of that township is as messed up as a football bat! 131 chains +/- on the south lines, no monumentation, suspended surveys, then on top of all of that, add neck high ( I am 6'7" tall) deadfallen pine trees scattered in random directions. Makes for some fun surveying, the frequent use of magic words, and lots of bandages on our shins.

Who has more fun than people?!!!!
