The User’s manual

The User’s manual for the LS is one of the best on the market. I would like to suggest/request some changes/additions:

1) Change the page numbering system. The way it is presently set up; if there is a page added near the front of the manual, the whole manual must be reprinted. A system of a chapter, section, and sub-sections might accomplish this. This would also allow me to reprint just the pages I want to edit my paper copy. I’m old and really want a print copy!

2) Put a live, searchable, editable version of the manual on the website.

With the frequency of wonderful additions, improvements, and corrections to the whole JAVAD system; the manual needs to be just as useful and dynamic as the system and support. Sometimes I wish for a good index of the manual; if the manual was searchable by keyword/topic this would be helpful.

I think there are users who have thoughtful additions that could help the rest of us, however, these thoughts and comments are difficult to get at. If the online version of the manual would allow user and developer comment, other users might find this helpful.

I understand that open access to the manual has security and hacking issues. Surely there are workarounds for this concern. If Wikipedia can accomplish this I bet JAVAD can do it better.

I think a great, dynamic manual is as important as the already great product and support.

PDF versions of the manuals are available and are searchable. These are available under the Information tab found at the Triumph-LS page.

I have contemplated creating an HTML version of the manual in the past too. My thoughts on this is that it would be an online version of the Help screens and Application Notes found in J-Field.
