Tilt compensation warning

If tilt compensation is on, on the current profile, it should have a warning on the screen. I had an old profile, I do not use often, called "endless control", meaning it just keeps going until stopped. It's for control points. Somehow, tilt compensation had been left on, in that profile. I probably have some messed up shots due to this. A "splash warning" would be good, to prevent this.
Thanks,
Nate

For years, I've wanted some sort of warning on the action screen that the tilt compensator is on. I've been burned by having that checkbox buried two layers deep. Here's how I work around it. I NEVER turn toggle the Compensate for Tilts checkbox without creating a new profile. For each profile that normally has the tilt compensator off, I have a duplicate action profile that has the tilt compensator on. You could have ENDLESS CONTROL and ENDLESS CONTROL TILT. I have a white box that displays the action profile. This serves as the notice on the action screen. You can assign a hardware button to recall an action profile. For each of those profiles, assign that button to recall the opposite action profile. Now you can toggle the tilt compensator with a single hardware button and you get both the transparent yellow splash screen when you change it and a white box reminder of whether you're correcting for tilts or not. It works for me.

To the developers:
Is it hard to put up a message "Tilt is on" that flashes on the screen, at the beginning of any observation, and thereafter every minute? (If tilt compensation is on).
I even wonder if it was me who turned it on. Did that setting change come with an update?
John, I may implement that.
Thank you,
Nate

I'd like to see an indicator too. I think the place to put it is in the antenna height black box. If Tilts is on a small T in red text could be in the upper right corner beside the unit indicator.

I think it might be a better indicator if it made a different sound to indicate the tilt compensator. If instead of pop pop pop, it said ping, ping, ping or some such, it would stand out more. There is already a lot of info on the action screens and I sometimes look right at something and don't notice it, or sometimes don't look at all. Unless it's a noisy environment, it would be hard to ignore a different sound. Survey Tones are available for fixed, float, dgps, and standalone. That would be awesome if it were added to that list.

Ooh! I just noticed that the Survey Tones are stored within the Action Profile. I just changed the On RTK Fixed Epoch tone in the action profiles with tilt compensation turned on and now I can tell which profile I'm using without looking!

What Adam says... Is right.
If tilt is on, it needs to be included in screen shots. There are numbers associated with them also, such as: Rod height. Degree of rod tilt. Direction of tilt. And direction the LS is facing. All these numbers maybe should be included in the screen shot. The point is "full documentation".
If I'm not mistaken, DPOS does not generate a tilt compensated coordinate. And, so just guessing, RTPK probably does not generate a "Tilt compensated coord".
Patch all the leaks in the system!

Those numbers are on the screen in the compass button (top center). Just need a tilt icon and a good place to put it. HI seems like a reasonable place or perhaps in the compass button, but it's pretty crowded now.
