I'm a little more fastidious about selecting a base site, than some.

@ken larson,
Was the ladder just "Out there", or did you have to supply it?
I've often wanted to be able to carry a cheap, light ladder in my truck, 100% of the time. One that folds up, and can get me over fences, out of jail, etc!

I recently got to use one of those collapsible attic ladders to access someone's attic while doing an Elevation Certificate. I commented at the time to my helper that I thought it was pretty slick.

ladder was where i found it - the well tenders would use it to check level in tank - also was handy as a deer hunting stand I am told
