Triumph-LS WiFi Access Point Not Retained?

On Monday and Tuesday I was using my LS with an RTN, using my phone as a hotspot as before. However, on both days I had to manually initiate a refresh of the hotspot list to get my phone to show up. Once it appears on the list the LS connects without issue.

Today was the first time I've used my LS with my T2 base since converting to Linux. I first positioned the base point using the RTN, and after starting the base and going through the base-rover setup the LS was working fine as I did a test stakeout of the base point. However, when I arrived at my first control point -- less than half a mile away -- the LS wan't getting corrections. I checked the WiFi page and it showed no connection and didn't have my phone in the hotspot list. I turned WiFi off and then back on (that's worked in the past with Windows), but no joy. I had to reboot the LS to get it to see my phone. That got me going again and it worked fine the rest of the day.

Are there known WiFi issues with Linux?

This very same problem has been reported to me by a Senior Crew Chief.
He reported that sometimes even a reboot does not fix the problem.
Is it possible that the Linux code is bad for Wi-Fi? Our provider is Verizon.
