Triumph LS won't boot to Linux after updating

We haven't used our LS in a few months. Today, I tried to download some files but it wouldn't recognize the USB device. I went to updates and saw that 6 were needed, including to the Linux system.

I tried the bulk update twice, and it failed each time. I turned off all the updates except the one to Linux. It took the bait and tried to update Linux exclusively.

Now, it won't boot at all. It just freezes at the grey screen with the Javad logo and "yacto project" in the lower right.

Is there a way to trick the machine to get past this point?

Good evening everyone. I figured it out. Linux needed to be reinstalled, which can be done very early in the startup process. The little icon in the lower left says "Options," but you can't click on it.

If you get the right glasses, you can see there is another icon that looks like a house. This means press the "home" button, quick. Then, you can reinstall Linux.

Still doesn't recognize the usb drive though. This happens a lot, since they switched to Linux.

Good morning Michael. My serial number is 00559. For RAMS, should I log into the JAVAD GNSS, INC or the Custom Server 192.168.43.1

Good morning again. It wouldn't connect to the Custom Server, but it is now connected to JAVAD GNSS, INC

It seems that bottom board is malfunctioned and the device needs RMA. Tomorrow our RMA team will write to you.

Thank you Andrey. I was able to rescue the machine by using the "Options" feature that appears for a few seconds during the boot sequence. This allowed me to reinstall all the software. The unit now works, but it will only recognize USB units occasionally. I found a special one it seems to accept so I am able to communicate with it for now.

Michael did some extensive diagnostics yesterday, and believes the "bottom board has failed" as described above.

My e-mail is brrc2000@aol.com Thank you again!

I've had similar issues with USB transfer. I'm able to transfer .txt, .asc, and .csv point files onto the LS+ with no problem, but I've had difficulty transferring .txt files of my processed points back to the same USB flash drive to import into CAD. I was previously using the browse files function to copy and paste the job folder onto the flash drive. Typically everything transfers, but the .txt files get corrupted or lost 4 out of 5 times. I've been using the flash drive to load points, and RAMS to download, which works the best currently. I checked the hardware versions and don't get an N/A on the bottom board as shown above.

Please unmount the USB drive before unplugging it (long click on "Files" icon on Home screen).

Boy, those tricky long press commands are nice once you know about them. Thanks!
Aaron, have you tried from home screen: Files - data exchange - export
usb should show up, open, then open part1/, then open folder then file
data exchange instead of browse works well for import and export

I use the long press to take out the usb but not sure it does anything. Have had a couple usb that unit will not recognize on a regular basis. For instance, My sandisk one seems to work all the time, but a gorilla drive i bought to bring to field doesn't work half the time (no good for field use).
