Trouble with LS

Yes. I plan to leave it off overnight and see if the problem persists in the morning. If it does, Michael said he'd get another RMA going.

Did you also update the OAF? Please connect to RAMS if it is not working so we can take a look.

The instructions on how to perform a factory recovery are included in the download with the factory recovery tool. I have also attached them.
Thank you Matt, I did download the instructions, but didn't read the very last notes, my shortcoming. That is exactly what I needed!

On RAMS now. S/N 00642.

It's working this morning, though. I'll power down when I leave for the field and leave it off all day (it's a total station day), then try again this afternoon. (I don't know how long it has to remain off for the problem to manifest if it's still there.)

(Lots of reboots going on!)

P.S. The GNSS board error also occurred yesterday while I was logging a 10-minute session. But that was before the system restore.

I rebooting it several times to see if this problem would reoccurred, so far everything looks good with this unit.

I'll shut down now and leave it off for several hours, then check it again. (In the past, a reboot would always fix the problem temporarily, but an overnight powerdown would bring it back.)

Thanks!

Buuuuuuuut, this afternoon while trying to recreate my TCP setup the GNSS board disconnected after the receiver had been on for about half an hour. :(

Not encouraging. :(

Hi, I performed a recovery on our Victor LS using the SD card media, but I am getting a message that, 'This product is not registered'. I backed up the settings before reinstalling the system, and then subsequently restored them after running the recovery. The SN is 00284. I performed a factory 'RestoreFactoryData' in System with no change in the registration status of the device. Is it possible for the device to be re-registered as previously so that I can download the OAF update? Thx!

Thks - actually I've just belatedly realised that the Victor LS doesn't require a OAF update - because it relies on data passed to it from a reciever - such as a Triumph 2 - which has the OAF update. I was confused as I had just set up a new Triumph LS and wasn't thinking straight.
