Using fence post as base for T-3

How do you handle the height of the LS and the T-3 when you use a fence post to set them on. Mike

I use a zero antenna height when I set the base on my truck or a fence post. i don't care about the elevation of the ground below the base when I do that.

so if you already had a base set up on a tripod, you would set the LS on the fence post at zero antenna height. Take the shot. Move the T-3 to post and set it at zero and carry on with base /rover set up. on the post.
