Victor LS Problem

Hi everyone!

I recently purchased a Victor LS and I'm using it with a T2. I've got it up and working. Connects to RTN and I can survey with it with no real issues. The problem I'm having is I cannot get the verification RTK v6 to work. It shows no data on the engine screen (see attached pics). I'm also needing the Iowa low distortion projections. They were in the JMT app I was using, but aren't in Jfield. I'm not sure why. If these could get sent to me, it would be much appreciated. I have posted several screen shots of my setup and Jfield version. It says the software is up to date. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dennis

Hi Dennis, you might want to try this :

I'm constantly reading the manual (basically same as LS, some differences though), but I'm finding it's just as good as LS if you have the patience and collect adequate raw data for PP (with short baselines) in high multi path areas. All of the raw GNSS data is stored in the T2

It's a great system for the cost, you should review this also:

I tried the RTK4 firmware update. It worked and I'm now able to use the v6 verification. Seems strange that you have to use a 2017 beta version firmware to do it, but that's okay. Thanks to all who helped, I greatly appreciate it.

I'm hoping someone can now point me in the right direction to get the Iowa local coordinate systems. Anyone know the best way to obtain these?

Thanks,

Dennis

They are already contained in the coordinate system catalog under North America > United States > Iowa.

Yeah I know. That's where I found them in JMT, but they are not in my Victor LS for some reason. I was hoping I could export it out of JMT, but that doesn't appear to be an option.

Ok, I checked and see that the GeoData version 2.4.6.40416 for the Victor-LS is an old version but still contains the Iowa coordinate system. Is this the GeoData version you have installed? If so, then it seems that you are looking in the wrong place.

I tried the update and it doesn’t do anything. It’s telling me everything is up to date. The versions it’s showing is pictured above in previous post.

I tried the force update but still wouldn’t work. The update button was still grayed out. It says everything is updated. I also double checked the coordinate systems. All I have is Wisconsin and Minnesota. At this point it might be easier if someone could export it and send it to me. The one I really need is Iowa zone 14 Burlington.

I checked and it was. It goes through the process of checking for updates with no errors. It just comes back that everything is up to date.
