Great job John. This makes me jealous of myself for having VSO. I like the idea of staking to the base to verify the compass calibration.

Visual stakeout is available now and working.

Camera offset survey is in final beta. Elevation data will be included in the final release, but this is only my memory speaking. I've yet to get into serious testing using it.

Thanks Kelly.

Do you know if visual stakeout and offset survey are the same option?

Everybody has had Visual Stakeout for quite some time.

The photogrammetry stuff is still in development and is currently being tested. To see if you are able to help test, go to Home screen1, Support, Options Update, Update Options, Check. Camera Offset Survey is set to expire on my LS on June 1st. I simply haven't had time to test it yet, but I think MJ and Shawn are doing so.

I got the opportunity to use Visual Stakeout for a few hours the other day. Staking preliminary locations for power poles and guy wires. I used the monopod and the tilt compensators. Made the job a breeze. The unit is light and handy to carry around. The bottom two sections of the monopod can be fully collapsed between shots and re-extended to quickly and easily get back to the same antenna height. Looking forward to using it some more on Friday.

What does the M1/M2 in the lower right corner mean?

good day! today when I use visual stakeout screen was like in the attachment. has anyone encountered similar? version of J-Field 1.11.0.214

Can't edit reply.. I Tried to enable and disable the item "Draw ground grid on camera's view" - no effect. Also when you move to visual stakeout sometimes the image disappears from the camera, the symptoms are the same: the camera in the camera menu works, menu camera offset survey work, and in visual stakeout black screen like the screenshot below. This was observed in previous versions of J-Field.. May be a problem in the device?

To any and All,

The above image is the result of someone telling a little white lie. You have told the LS that your antenna height is zero. I am rather sure this is not the actual case if the LS is mounted to a pole :)

The reason for this effect, is because you have told the LS that it is on the ground. Enter a valid antenna height to get up off of the ground.

I will make a recommendation that if VSO sees an antenna height of zero, we will bypass it for the graphical display and utilize a height of non zero to hide the possibility of seeing what you have seen with a zero antenna height. We will not change the height you have entered though.

John
