Agree, but that is okay for this question, I think. I would rather wanted to see percentage distribution for two solutions. Actually I had to link this question to the field application to not mix them up. Let us see results and I may create another survey.

I'm quite happy with the integrated receiver, and data collector.
However, I can see a T-3 on a pole, with VICTOR controller would work too.
Would the overall weight go up this way? Main Advantage would be controller is low, and receiver is higher. Jerci is good.

Started using JAVAD in 2016. When I bought my first unit, I didn't think I would like the all-in one, but after using it to be convenient. We do a lot of mountain work in rural areas, so not only is weight a concern, but the number of items we need to carry is also a concern. It's great being able to run the unit through your android phone for those tough shots where you need a high pole, or you're on unstable ground and need to step back.
 
All in one. IMO one of the best features of the LS. Allows user to move easily through thick brush without snagging on EVERY limb and vine in the woods like a pole bracket mounted unit does...

In general discussion in regards of future receiver, it's a question of flexibility given to users. With separate controller, especially Android powered, users have choince and they are able to upgrade easily whenever they want to or they are forced to.
You want to use a small smartphone or maybe some big screen table, you can do it. Your controller is dead suddenly, lets use phone from your pocket to finish job. Or maybe there are a bunch of guys in one office that just swap one receiver every other but they want to use own controllers to keep custom settings and data in separation. Those are real life examples.
And this is the key.
Well, I vote here against all in one device with both my hands.

Correct, the point was not about what we have now, but about what is more handy for their applications. Honestly, I had to divide people by markets and ask this question separately in each group, but I did not mean this specific at the moment of poll creation. I do understand that majority of active users are Triumph-LS users and results may be obvious, but I hope to hear non Triumph-LS users too. Or such comments like you shared here.

I like the LS all-in-one more than a big clunking controller on the side of the pole. But if it could be the size of a smartphone (the screen on mine is bigger than the LS) and slip into my pocket as I thrash through the underbrush yet mount to the pole when collecting data on a flip out bracket that folds into the pole while thrashing through said underbrush, I think I'd like that better. All the brains could still be in the antenna, which would probably be even smaller than the LS is now.

I like the question Eugene, but why only one or the other? We already have something very close to having both scenarios presently working; for example, the LS, or the LS with RAMS on an Android device. Let the second device be of the user's choosing.

Since we are throwing out wants, the LS all-in one-currently is an awesome setup. However, a smooth, streamlined app to control the LS (Android AND Apple) would seem the next future move. The only time I find the current setup combersome is while doing a lot of comps. It would seem a good app would speed things up a bit if setup intuitively. Everyone already carries a cell phone and it would provide another layer of flexibility/redundancy. Another awesome feature would be talk-to-text in the software. But I realize Im now being a spoiled brat right at Christmas. :)

Not sure if the following suggestions are off the "request for concepts" topic, and I had mentioned this earlier in the year to Tom and Neda. One idea relates to JAVAD innovation being introduced to system on chip manufacturers like Broadcom, Qualcomm, etc., and for the Javadian chip to be developed for higher end phones and other mobile devices intended to be used in tandem with broadcast corrections over 5G and achieving decimeter precision; see current example. Second idea, and the bigger problem of internal antennas on such mobile devices is an other area needing JAVAD innovation; the worst part of any cell phone position is the antenna; see this article as one example discussing the cell phone's antenna. A third idea, this time for JMT, develop a similar, but agnostic mobile tool for Android devices which exploits present day devices which are already capable in supporting raw measurements, dual frequency; i.e., L5/ E5a, multi-constellation GNSS, Carrier phase, and RTK. The hardware on consumer grade devices exists, but the app hasn't been invented yet to harness its power; Javad could easily lead the industry in this area too.
