definitely it depends on the pole length and I think you would not like to have 3kg on the 9ft pole. Bearing in mind IMU that requires strong pole this is completely critical to pay attention to weight.lighter the better, anything under 3kg is very reasonable.
did you mean through Bushes, is not it?Always lighter is better. A topcon GTS 3 is some 17 LBS. So, I am still in Pig Heaven, with the LS!!
HOWEVER on the shape of the LS, it needs NO sharp corners. Rounded corners would allow it to go through the BRUSH better.

In common English usage, "bushes" refers to a group of discrete shrubs, usually not very many. They might be close together or spread out. "Brush" is used to describe dense woody vegetation, usually covering a large area.did you mean through Bushes, is not it?

I never fill bad if I learn something newEugene, don't feel bad... English has challenges.
Thanks for one more expression!"non domesticated undergrowth' is my new favorite phrase!
It's raised havoc with my arthritis! I suppose the previous 50 years might have something to do with that too....Working with the L.S., bipod and pole has toned my arms up.
