WIFI interference

Using the local RTN (base 1 mile away) getting corrections through phone hotspot.
The L.S. kept connecting and disconnecting to the network making it unusable.
Noticed a large number of other wifi networks which appear to be interfering.
Is there a network setting to ignore those networks and use only the desired wifi?

Hi Sean,
Do you see this effect in wifi crowded areas only?
If so, probably your phone hotspot signal strength is not competitive with other access points?

Eugene;
I do not have a problem when there are no other networks around.
The signal strength of the hotspot network is the strongest of all of them and the phone is mounted on the pole within a foot of the L.S.
but the interference from the other networks is too much it appears. If only it could ignore them.
I noticed I had wifi turned on on the phone at the same time as the hotspot.
I think it was interfering by tryin to use other secured networks in addition to the hotspot, will have another go at it tomorrow.

Most likely, your hotspot at phone shares the same radio channel that other AP around. You can try to run WiFi Scanner tools on the phone (if Androind) to watch channel conflicts. You may better use mifi device instead of phone for more available options to resolve issues. LS as any other device has no physical ability to filter Air in favor of your hotspot because this is role of hotspot to manage connected devices on the radio level.
