To connect to RAMS app you just need to have the device and LS on the same WiFi network. In the field you could use a mobile router to do this. Soon, when the OS of the LS is migrated to Linux (being worked on now), the LS will have Wi-Fi Access Point functionality and a separate router shouldn't be required.

Matt,
How soon will the LS have a wifi access point? You wrote this in may, 2017.

The iOS/Android RAMS app are server applications only. They do not have the ability to connect to remote servers and they need to be updated to work with Linux. You must mean you were connecting through the browser based viewer at http://javadgnss.net/rams-viewer/?

Matt,

I'm just trying to connect my phone to the LS so that I can control it when its beyond my reach. Since the data collector and rover are all in one this happens sometimes. I don't have cell service when I work usually. I don't want to use a mifi router because its something else to have to carry and keep up with. You said back in 2017 this feature would work when we updated to Linux. I'm still waiting unless you know something I don't.

It is half of what is needed for the feature you are requesting. The server app will be updated at some point.

Received an e-mail from JAVAD GNSS:
In June 24, 2021, a field practice workshop will demonstrate some real-life scenarios with AllSat's (Widows 10) survey/GIS software - GART and Javad Triumph-3 GNSS receiver. Almost sure this is a great GNSS+IMU RTK solution in the field, but I think Windows 10 could bring Hololens 2 + GART + Triumph-3 together, for an advanced Mixed Reality solution with RTK accuracy/repetability that can display BIM/GIS data, LiDAR scans, measure reality data in life-like holograms and find stakeouts points without the classic rover rod.

Mixed Reality could be very efficient for every field job and everyday life.
