My collector has a SD slot, but not a USB. I can export to the internal microSD, or a USB thumb drive, but when I try to write to an USB SD card reader, it fails. The microSD is just to small to use easily. I have a USB2.0 Targus CRD-25, but is there a SD card reader that is known to work? Thanks! Jim

It is known that the LS won't work with a couple of brands of thumb drives. I don't know why. I'm more of a surveyor, than a computer tech. However, if you try a couple of brands of USB drives, that write to an SD card, or micro SD card, I'd guess that you'd find one that worked.
To download my camera, I take the SD card out of the camera, and put it into a multi card reader, then plug the card reader into my computer. Home pc.
I have been through several cheap card readers.
A good quality card reader costs more, but it is reliable. So, for your suggestions pile, it's likely that a few trial and error tests with a couple of devices, will have you in the place you want to be.
Later on, I'll see if my LS will address my present card reader.

Thanks Nate. It may boil down to that a single function USB>SD adapter will work, but not a multi-function one wont. If I can start ruling out ones that don't work, it means buying fewer ones on eBay to find one that does.
Jim, is your adapter adapting the SD card into the micro USB port or Type A USB port? Drives must be connected to the Type A port. If you are trying to connect through the micro USB port then this is your problem.
