You CORS NTRIP Forwarding

I have been messing around getting our Spectra SP80 & SP85 to communicate with the LS. It is more for options of flexibility rather than any kind of replacement. It also keeps the spectras being used and relevant in the workflow. We have 2 LS+ so theoretically we can split them up with the spectras as bases. I believe the spectras both work with the same constellations as the LS. I signed up for a service called YouCORS ($75/year) and was able to get corrections successfully this afternoon. The service doesn't require static IP also. I'll be curious to see how it compares to our LS/LS base/rover setup. It also makes me curious if TCP can be ran through the same service. Only benefit I see would be eliminating the static IP and hiccups it can bring. Anyone have any experience with this service or setup? Again, super excited about the possibilities JAVAD makes possible.

Have you had any luck connecting to the SP80 via UHF? The 2 watt radios in the 80’s are actually quite good.

I’m interested in how well the YouCORS works out for you. That sounds promising.

Any update on this? We use the Static IPs with the T3/LS+'s and love the set up, BUT if there is a way we could be more efficient and potentially protect the base by using YouCors then I am all ears!

Clark,
I have yet to successfully use YouCors with a JAVAD base. My understanding is that the LS+/T3 only broadcasts TCP corrections and YouCors runs as an NTRIP service. I do use our Spectra as a base all the time with the LS+ as a base and it works quite well. Also, JAVAD is working on their own NTRIP caster service but I haven’t heard when that will be up and running.
