    WiFi Hotspots

https://a.co/d/hyvj3EV https://a.co/d/bh48tGp These are what I use. The jetpacks fit perfectly in these pouches and the snaps easily let you attach them to your base/rover pole. You can also fit these in a shirt pocket of jeans pocket.

    The Pincushion Effect

Lucas’s book is outstanding. I’ve read it and passed it on to several over the years. I agree on all the points made and I am definitely not a fan of pincushion corners. I’ve always felt it makes us, the surveyor, look ridiculous to be honest. I agree there ARE instances, albeit very few of...

What I'd like to see at Javad and Company

Nate and myself were daily posters back 5-8 years ago. He and I suggested/recommended dozens and dozens of things now in daily use on the LS. Those days, unfortunately, are long gone I’m afraid. Thankfully, what we have now works very well, but it’s obvious that “things” are not even close to...

    Nate Reporting...

Nate, Be very cautious of those corrections farther than 5 miles from a single baseline base setup. Rtpk will be fine, but rtk corrections will start being “off” about a tenth at the 4.4/5 mile range and increase a bit the farther you go. There’s another thread from @nusouthsc about this started...

    Release V4.0 heartburn...

For all the talk of it being a “major change”, it really wasn’t. The only big difference screen wise is the rtcm (not sure what that acronym stands for) button on the top line where you set/change from vrs/tcp/uhf. Once you do that once or twice it’s easy peasy. The only downside, and is has...

I would like to start a Poll on the ordering process from Javad & Company et al

Nate, I started begging for your #1 about 7 YEARS ago to Michael Glutting every single time I placed an order. The whole ordering process from day one on the Javad site has been basically Stone Age level. Having to call in on every order to provide cc info is just crazy. Parts and supplies take...

If tilt is on…. And you press start….

I’d completely and totally agree with this! Have always thought there should be something on the screen to indicate this. It “seems” easy to think “just check it”, but as Nate says, we switch users sometimes and also, especially when it’s 100 degrees, forget to change things back.

Rtpk vs Rtk results - consistent 0.18’ difference in horizontal

Correct for tilts was not on. In the open rtpk is always within 0.02'-0.04 at most. We usually orient north when collecting with the LS but with the challenging spots we put it in the woods, near trees and fence posts, that, of course, isn't feasible all the time. I'm going to speak with...

Rtpk vs Rtk results - consistent 0.18’ difference in horizontal

Since the latest update and changes in rtpk, we have noticed a remarkable consistency in the rtpk and rtk results in heavy canopy areas coming up to be around 0.16’-0.20’ horizontal difference. I probably saw this at least 6 or 7 times today. In those instances, based on multiple points...

    Old rtpk vs. New rtpk

These are the setting in RTPK usage (default - I haven't changed anything except environment category to extreme).

    Old rtpk vs. New rtpk

If I change to 3 minutes and the 2nd solution doesn’t match the 1st, I lose all rtpk info on the LS screen after 6 minutes. Some of our locations seem to need up to 6 minutes of continuous data, not split.

    Old rtpk vs. New rtpk

Where exactly is that setting Shawn? How would that affect the just the rtpk solutions?

    Old rtpk vs. New rtpk

We are using LS+ For the 1st month we have had the new version we’ve had the settings on the default of extreme (2 minutes). We have had very few points in what is our standard rough to extreme conditions that EVER get a (2) or a (3) rtpk match even after occupying the point for over 15...
