Antenna required?

When charging the hpt401bt (the 1 watt radio) does the antenna need to be attached if the radio is off (I have always attached to avoid overheating the electronics).

I just received the T1m+. When that unit is on, does the antenna need to be attached? When charging?

Jim, I think that is no. I have a T 1M and I charge it all the time with no antenna attached. It has the same type antenna you have. You are just charging not broadcasting a signal. Until you connect it to your LS and fire it up you should be good.
