Getting Background Maps in the LS (A How-To)

Went I went to Shawn's Arkansas seminar, a number of users there kind of gawked at my LS display. It has background aerials that are amazingly sharp and can be zoomed into easily. But no one had them.

Mine were set up by Michael Glutting, who also sent me a link that JAVAD created that walks you through the process. So, for anyone who hasn't seen this, here's the mapping how-to:

Wow. You got yours set up from the factory? I've often thought background aerials would be super-handy on the LS. I've tried wading thru that guide a few times and fiddling around with Global Mapper, but I've always gotten bogged down in the process and given up. Anyone else ever used this guide and got it to work?

I was literally the only person there out of 18+ who had aerial backgrounds in their LS. I sort of assumed we were all using them--tremendous help when you're deep in the woods.

I would love to be able to upload Geo PDF's to my LS. I've tried the process in those instructions, but for some reason the software hates dealing with PDF files.
