Jlink

The purpose of the JLink feature is to access the internet via cellular, correct? It it not to set up a local cell network?

I have a cell card on my Ls. I can't use JLink in the same way I use UHF transmitting via my base. I would transmit via cell to a local tower, then to the internet and the corrections would hit my LS from the internet in the reverse order.

Jim,

You can use the JLink to connect to your base to send uhf corrections as long as it was purchased with a uhf radio in it. You will need to use the usb cable that came with it to connect it to the LS to pair it with your base. Let me know if you have any problems.

The cell modem connects to the wide area network (the internet) and does not create a local area network via cellular frequency where cell service is not available, correct?

The Jlink can access the internet via the cell modem, then the Jlinks wifi can be accessed. But, the range is limited to close proximity to the Jlink.
