It appears that we now have the option of associating a symbol with a point code (I'm using the latest version of the testing software on the LS).

Has anyone developed a symbol library? If not I am certainly willing to start drawing symbols in AutoCAD and posting the file for all to use.

Better yet, we have a common location where all can contribute and share as appropriate.

Does anyone know the criteria for drawing symbol size?

Some of us have imported a few symbols but have not developed an official symbol library. If you want to post the files in here that would be great (just put them in a zip folder).

They just need to be autocad point blocks in a dwg file, their size doesn't matter as they are assigned sizes when imported.

I went ahead and created some standard symbols for people to try:

They are in the attached file. To import them From the Tags & Codes menu select Manage Symbols>Import select the file and then press Open.

Use the above settings and press Import.

Hi Matt,

I have a large number of Cal Trans symbols that they make available to the public. Is there a problem publishing them here if in a file I create?

Will the symbols found in carlson survce import into jfeild?

If these symbols are stored as DXF or DWG, they will import. BMP symbols are currently not supported, they should be converted to PNG first.
