LS & wifi connection hangs up when changing general groups using TCP

The following scenario occurs so often that it I just have been accustomed to it...not sure if others experience same issue.

I dial into our RTN and set my base point. I then set up base on said point and switch my general profile over to TCP for either the T1M or T3 base. I use a jetpack for the T1M and internal sim card for the T3. The wifi will show a connection with ip address etc but I wont get corrections. I manually disconnect the wifi connection and reconnect. 100% of the time it comes back in with no issue and I begin seeing delay and latency populate and I can go to work. This happens everyday and I've grown accustomed to it not being a problem because I know what to do to get everything working. But for new users this might be confusing. This issue occurs happens at least 70% (guessing) of the time when switching from general profiles using TCP. Any others seeing this?

I have a similar situation with my LS and T2. It happens so often that I no longer recall what particular sets of circumstances are involved, I just know that if I'm not getting corrections the first thing to do is turn off WiFi and turn it back on again, and most of the time that takes care of the problem.

That is also how i fix the problem. Sometimes it takes starting and stopping more than once but it works.

I have been having similar problems over the past few months. Periods of the AT&T sim card working then not working. Switch to hot spot and wifi with I phone and would work then not work. Significant problems with both connections on Friday so downloaded the latest updates in case that was issue. On Sat. went out after deleting and resetting APN info in general settings.
I have standard LS, AT&T sim card (a few years old) iphone 10 and use the Smartnet RTN. HELP! Dead in the water.

I have never used the RAMS process, is there any specific thing I need to do to have the techs look at it?
Thank you,
John

Your cell connection is very poor. It won't stay connected to your AT&T network for very long. I was able to connect to your RTN via WiFi without any trouble.

I have a few customers who have used iPhone WiFi to connect their LS to an RTN and results have been mixed. I'm not sure why, but they report similar issues of the connection dropping out with iPhone WiFi.

I can't really determine much from your onboard SIM because the signal is very weak. -85 to -90 db

So I replaced the AT&T sim card and had a very brief connection but now back to nothing working. Back on RAMS sn 661.

Yes, just got it to work by moving around. I am on RAMS and still trying to figure out the hotspot/wifi connection. Not looking promising on that front. I was at Verizon store and they did not see any problems with the phone or connection. I may just get the jet pack to use as a backup. Seems to work for others.

Do you have an external cell antenna connection? If so, do you have the antenna on it? Have another antenna to try?

2 cents from an LS+ user: yes, external cell antenna makes a substantial difference. My first attempt getting a cell signal was with internal only. It simply didn't work and I was wondering if my SIM was incompatible or something. Plugged in the external and that fixed things right up.
