In this case Russian Javadithes uses one base - multiple rovers configuration which deals excelent loops control. They make shots at rovers simultaneously, of course. See attached

I will add to this conversation that having 3 seven minute observations allows you to change rod heights, between observations, thus modifying the multipath environment some... If you run an adjustable rod...
I agree that it may help if multipath changes slowly (10-15 minutes cycling). My concern is observation under heavy foliage under bushes and trees. We have no any cycling there. Looks like no difference between height changing and simple serial observations.

Alexey, I have found changing rod heights, in an area with alot of HORIZONTAL multipath, to be useful, (changes of several feet, not minor changes) to be useful. This would be in a place with alot of horizontal branches. However, in places with alot of VERTICAL multipath sources, it does not help much. (This testing was done with Legacy E unit, which is weaker than a Javad LS).
I try to keep my head in the "Observation" mode, so as to learn it all!
