A little issue with DISTANCE filter

I have around 1000 points in this file.
I want to Select all points within 10' of a certain point.
I hit POINTS.
Then, the FUNNEL icon.
then I check mark the distance filter icon.
then I HOLD down the DISTANCE FILTER button.
I get a popup. This popup has options.

CURRENT POSITION
FROM LIST
FROM CLIPBOARD
and, CLOSE

I select FROM LIST
At this point, I get the WHOLE FILE, to scroll through, and this is a nuisance. I'd like to be able to have 2 things here. I'd LIKE to be able to simply key in the POINT NUMBER, without scrolling the list. So, this would be an add on at this point, where we have the 4 options, and it's a 5th option, KEY IN POINT NUMBER. Here is a PIC of the location:

And, I'd LIKE to be able to KEY in the POINT NUMBER here, instead of scrolling the whole file.
I hope you can see my problem. It's the need to scroll the whole file, from this location.
Thank you,
Another option (6th option) would be to ALLOW it to work with the previous filtered points, so that you don't have to scroll the whole file. It would allow the previous filtered points to filter this group too. But, Option 5 right now is more important. I often KNOW or can figure out what the point number I wish to use is. This would allow me to REDUCE the group size to filter through.

Thank you, Nate

Update. After hitting the FROM LIST button, (From the above pic) I now see a Magnifying glass icon. That HELPS. with this, I can select a point name, which does HELP reduce the file size to scroll through. It has a little black arrow down inside the icon, however, that seems to not allow more options.
O well. Option Number 5 above would still be good. (key in point name)

If you know point number you can do simple calculation to get neccessary Page of list: point number / points per page (9). Then to select page by click on central section of navigation buttons:

We can not be sure about correct point number because we can use sorting and a lot of filters so "Name" is more reliable parameter to search object.
