Has anyone discussed this? I did a search, but didn't find anything.
Breadcrumbs ON/OFF dist between ______?
If breadcrumbs are on, it draws a connected poly line, whenever it is on, and detects movement of 50'. (user definable dist)
This breadcrumb file can be exported, into any projection.
It's purpose, is to be able to GO BACK and see what happened, say 5 yrs ago.
If a particular corner was visited, or not. Searched for, or not. What the job sequence of that day was. Just an inventory, or record of job flow. It would show how much time was spent on a given point. Etc.
If it's checked ON, on all profiles, then the file begins at the base, and ends at the base, (for those of us who use our own base). This puts time/date stamps all over the job. Even shows how much time was spent at lunch, and where.
It could be handy.
Right now, its information, that's falling through our fingertips.
It should be running in the background, and invisibly, so that it does not interfere. But, keeps record of job flow.
I often do searches, and IF I find nothing, I take a shot, and label it, "searched, 20' radius, no find"
But a breadcrumb trail, would show even more info, such as how long I was there, etc.
It would also show a more complete job/field work history. Distance traveled, and, with time date stamps, (that are exported with the breadcrumbs) it could be useful...
What do you think?
I'm sure others have something similar.
Just for discussion...
