I was wondering how do you get the design points that you are using to move with collected points when you send to DPOS? I have noticed this on a few jobs, I will collect points figure out section lines while I am in an auto set-up, if the client is with me or has a general idea of where they want the split to occur, I will go ahead and shoot some pre-lim locations, down load the data and put on a zip, then put then import the txt file to carlson, put the points where they need to go and for the correct acreage, export those points in carlson, import to my LS+ and then Set the monumentation. This is if I can get all of the job done in one day. I like to DPOS all data, so when I have another job in the same area, I can grab a point, set a nail, and get a coordinate from our CORS system and be set up on the same coordinate system. How do we get those design points to shift when we DPOS the project? I have noticed this before on a few other jobs when I am intersecting lines as the client wants, set pins thru cogo and when I DPOS the design coords are not on this lines even more, since the data has shifted?
